Desposito’s Seafood Celebrates Opening
Desposito’s Seafood, Thunderbolt’s newest waterfront culinary destination, hosted a ribbon cutting and grand re-opening last Saturday, December 6, to celebrate the landmark’s return. The event doubled as a fundraiser for Shelter from the Rain, a local nonprofit supporting single mothers in need. Guests were invited to enjoy an afternoon of food, fun, and fellowship. Festivities included live music, an oyster roast, local vendors, door prizes, and a vibrant atmosphere for families and food enthusiasts. Local dignitaries, esteemed guests, and more than 400 community members attended the event to kick off the historic restaurant’s new chapter of showcasing the fresh, vibrant flavors of the coast. The event raised over $2,000 in funds and supplies donated to Shelter from the Rain, enabling the nonprofit to continue assisting single mothers in our community. Desposito’s Seafood is located at 3501 Macceo Drive in Thunderbolt, GA.

Montreal-style bagel establishment Spread Bagelry has opened its first Georgia location in downtown Savannah and will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony in celebration on Tuesday, January 30 at 10 a.m. at 6 W. The brand takes pride in the idea that each Spread Bagelry is unique, mirroring the individuality of their bagels. By definition, a Montreal-style bagel is distinctly boiled in honey water and baked in a wood-fired oven. In comparison to what we know as New York-style bagels, Montreal-style bagels have a golden-brown crust and are sweeter and chewier.
