Savannah-Chatham Day Draws Hundreds of Chamber Members to State Capitol

Last week’s Savannah-Chatham Day in Atlanta brought more than 400 Savannah business professionals to the Capitol to network with state leaders about policy, priorities, and positions concerning the Savannah area. More than 850 people attended the event at the Georgia Freight Depot, which featured a Savannah-style Oyster Roast and Low Country Boil, making Savannah Chatham Day one of the most coveted ticketed events of the legislative season. On day two, members got to listen to presentations from state agencies on economic development, education, and transportation, all of which were high on the Chamber’s legislative priority list for 2024. Events like Savannah-Chatham Day allow members to engage in the legislative process to hopefully influence decision-making at the state level to help create a more favorable business environment for the Savannah region.
