Savannah Navy Week Schedule of Events March 11-17

As part of Navy Week, from March 11-17, visiting sailors will be involved in nearly 70 events around Savannah and Chatham County. Events include school visits, Navy STEM Day, performances by Navy Band Southeast, hospital visits, and community service projects. The Navy’s community service projects during the week help non-profit organizations such as Old Savannah City Mission, Park Place Outreach, Pin Point Heritage Museum, Keep Savannah Beautiful, Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club, Tiny Homes, Salvation Army, Marine Rescue Squadron-Tybee, and more.

Monday, March 11

5:30-6 PM: Navy Band Southeast/Brass Band will perform at the Tybee Island Farmers Market

7-9 PM: Navy Bane Southeast/Brass Band will perform at the Tybee Island Post Theatre, free and open to the public (register online for tickets at tybeeposttheater.org)

Tuesday, March 12

5-7 PM: Navy Band Southeast/Brass Band will give a free performance at the Forsyth Park Bandshell, free and open to the public

Wednesday, March 13

9 AM-5 PM: Meet and Greet with Naval History and Heritage Command at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force

3:30-4:30 PM: U.S. Navy Fitness Challenge at the Islands YMCA

4:00 PM Softball game with U.S. Navy Sailors and Local Law Enforcement at 210 Riverview Drive, 31404

5:30 PM: Ceremonial Guard and Navy Band Southeast will be at the Savannah Ghost Pirates Military Appreciation Night (note: for attendees with tickets to the Ghost Pirates Game)

Thursday, March 14

12-1 PM: Navy Band Southeast/Brass Band will perform from Savannah’s City Hall Balcony

2 PM: Navy Week Proclamation at Savannah City Council

6-8 PM: Navy Band Southeast/Brass Band free concert at Ellis Square

Friday, March 15

9 AM-5 PM: Meet and Greet with Naval History and Heritage Command at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force

9:30-5 PM: U.S. Navy Meteorologists, Naval History and Heritage Command, and Navy Band Southeast Wind Quintet at Tybee Island Marine Science Center (note: free admission from 9:30 AM-12 PM)

4 PM: Participation in Jasper Green Ceremony

Saturday, March 16

10 AM: Participation in Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade
