Savannah and Chatham County Aim to Host NACo’s 2027 Annual Convention
Last week, Visit Savannah leaders joined forces with Chatham County Chairman Chester Ellis and six County Commissioners to extend a warm welcome to leaders from the National Association of Counties (NACo) as they visited Savannah and Chatham County. Collaboratively, they are striving to secure NACo’s pledge to hold their annual convention in Savannah in 2027. The collective anticipates approximately 3,500 county leaders from across the nation to participate. Previous attempts to attract the group faced setbacks in 2005 but were revitalized in 2022 through the efforts of Commissioner Pat Farrell and the Visit Savannah sales team.
