Savannah’s MLK Visitor Information Center Partially Open | Georgia I-95 Welcome Center Now Open

Although all Visit Savannah and Visit Tybee Visitor Information Centers (VIC) are temporarily closed due to the pandemic, an agreement with Official Guides of Savannah (OGS) now has brochures available at the main VIC located at Louisville Road and MLK Blvd. Two brochure racks are now on display and will be serviced twice per week by the OGS team. “Our visitation numbers have not yet rebounded enough to reopen our visitor centers but this new partnership with OGS again makes visitor information and our Insiders Guides and maps available to people visiting that location,” said Joseph Marinelli, President of Visit Savannah. A similar display rack is also available at the Visit Tybee VIC. Additionally, the I-95 Georgia Welcome Center also opened last week and is again welcoming visitors headed south on I-95 in Port Wentworth. “After being closed for nearly six months, we now have all nine of our welcome centers open around the state. The I-95 center annually ranks either first or second in visitor volume each year and we could not be more pleased to have it open and operational again,” said Mark Jaronski, the new Deputy Commissioner of Tourism for Explore Georgia.
