The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System has partnered with the Georgia School Board Association to facilitate a strategic planning process. The purpose of this process is to create a plan that will guide the District through the next five years. Part of this process involves receiving feedback from all members of the community so that we can ensure that every voice is heard, and all perspectives are considered. SCCPS wants to hear from parents, staff, and students as well as the business community and civic leaders. The questions in the survey linked to below will ask you to choose strengths, opportunities, areas in need of improvement, and challenges that face the district. Your feedback is instrumental in the strategic planning process, and we are grateful for your participation. The survey will close at midnight on April 18.

Georgia is looking for individuals interested in serving on the Disaster Action Team (DAT). DAT members are the people who volunteer their time to show up in the middle of the night (or whenever disaster strikes) with the fire department, in the event of a house or apartment fire, to make sure the victims’ immediate needs are met. In addition to that, there is a need for Blood Donor Ambassadors to help with local blood drives and Transportation Specialists who volunteer to drive deliveries of blood products to hospitals for regularly scheduled runs, replenishment runs if a facility is running low on product. If you have any questions, please contact Mandy Grignon directly at 478-733-3977 or via email.
