SCCPSS Updates Community on Budget and Outstanding Achievements of this School Year

The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System presented updates at their January 5 meeting on several items on their busy schedule. Board members received a report on enrollment expectations and the effect on the district budget and the District’s Second Semester Operational plans as the COVID pandemic continues.

Tickets Now On Sale for this Weekend’s Enmarket Savannah Hockey Classic, the “Frozen Finale”

Get your tickets now for the 2022 Enmarket Savannah Hockey Classic! Hosted by the Savannah Sports Council, this annual favorite collegiate ice hockey event will be on January 14 and 15 at the Savannah Civic Center. It will feature four of the South’s most popular hockey teams: the University of Georgia, University of Florida, Georgia Tech, and Florida State University. Prices for Friday games are $12 for the mezzanine, $16 for the loge; tickers for Saturday games are $14 for mezzanine and $18 for loge.

The 2022 Tybee Island Insider’s Guide is Tybee Island’s official vacation planner and visitors’ guide. The 300,000 guides will be distributed via mail, visitor centers across the state, and local hotels and vacation rental companies.

Southeast Regional Fruit and Vegetable Conference Holds Successful Event

The Visit Savannah Sales and Services team Stephanie welcomed the Southeast Regional Fruit and Vegetable Conference last week at the Savannah Convention Center. The Southeast Regional Fruit and Vegetable Conference is the largest educational conference and trade show in the southeastern United States that unites growers, vendors, and suppliers. This annual city-wide convention brings around 3,000 attendees to Savannah every January.

Future SCAD Student Shows of Talents While Visiting our MLK Visitor Information Center

The Main Visitor Information Center on MLK assisted visitors from Hong Kong. Winnie and Wan were visiting SCAD with their daughter Yoyo, enrolling in SCAD’s animation department. While at the VIC, Yoyo showed off her talents and quickly drew a picture of the staff.
