Savannah is once again ranked as one of the top five of fifteen U.S. cities in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards Readers’ survey for 2022!  The results were announced this week and will appear in their October issue.

Chamber Hosts Luncheon to Welcome New Members of The Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield

Last week, the Chamber hosted a luncheon to welcome newly stationed members of the Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield's senior leadership team.

The Chamber periodically hosts these luncheons to acquaint the newly assigned senior military leaders and their spouses with the work of the Savannah Chamber, Visit Savannah, and the city region in general.

Visit Tybee and Visit Savannah PR Manager Attends Georgia State Premier of Marine Documentary

Last week, Visit Tybee and Visit Savannah's Communication Manager, Tanvi Chauhan, attended the coastal tour screening and state premiere of The Last of the Right Whales at the Lucas Theatre For The Arts.

The heart-wrenching documentary is selected as the Best Canadian Feature for 2021 International Environmental Film Festival and the official selection for the 2022 Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital.

Leadership Savannah Gathers Valuable Insights From City-to-City Program Visit to Peachtree Corners

Leadership Savannah returned from its annual City to City program last week after an enriching experience. The class traveled to Atlanta where the Georgia Economic Development Authority and Georgia Power hosted the first portion of the program at the Georgia Experience Center.  

The City of Atlanta’s Department of Housing and Community Development presented on the challenges of providing affordable housing in a booming economy and what tools are available to local government.
