Leadership Savannah Flies High With 165th Airlift Wing

Last week, Leadership Savannah enjoyed its annual military program with much anticipation.  The participants started the day at the 165th Airlift Wing, where they learned about the dual mission of the division.  After that, Col. David Spisso, Class of 2017, flew the class on a C-130 to Hunter Army Airfield but not before dropping the back door and maneuvering the plane to grab everyone’s attention.  Once at HAAF, the class enjoyed lunch with soldiers, toured the base, participated in flight and shooting simulators, as well as heard from our new Garrison commander, Lt. Col. Bob Cuthbertson.  It was an exhilarating day full of learning and experiencing what our military partners mean to the greater Savannah community.
