Leadership Savannah Celebrates 60 Years of Inspiring Leadership Growth

Leadership Savannah held a cocktail reception at the Jepson Center for Fine Arts to celebrate 60 years of inspiring leadership growth through educational experiences last Thursday. At this milestone celebratory event, Greg Sewell, President of the Leadership Savannah board, Allyson Harvin, President of the Chamber of Commerce Board, Mayor Van Johnson, Dr. Joe Buck, and Benjamin Simons, Director of the Telfair Museums spoke about the enduring legacy of Leadership Savannah and its role in the business community.

The event was a fundraiser for the Ed Feiler, Jr. Scholarship to ensure that future leaders can access the second-oldest leadership program in the country. For 60 years, Leadership Savannah has identified, selected, and helped train our community’s leaders. As Dr. Buck has often said, Leadership Savannah trains those who are already leaders.  Giving back through this scholarship fund is one way to continue to grow our business community as well as recognize those who serve for the greater good and the common purpose was the basis of the evening’s celebration.

A special thank you to Swann Seiler of Georgia Power who is also the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Telfair Museums Board of Directors.  She was integral in making the event possible.  We also thank everyone who attended and celebrated six decades of their success with us!
