The Bridge Conquered: EnMarket Savannah Bridge Run a Huge Success

Last Saturday, Savannah Sports Council held the annual Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run. Known as “The South’s Toughest Bridge Run,” the race challenged runners to choose between 5K, 10K and a double pump over the city’s Talmadge Bridge. There was also a costume contest with awards given to the most creative person or group.

With more than 3,500 runners registered for the event early that week, with more registering Friday at the expo, the turnout this year exceeded expectations. There was so much to look forward to: the adrenaline-filled runners ascending the bridge, creative costumes spotted throughout the race, and the lively awards party that followed.
