Last week the Georgia General Assembly returned to session on Monday, March 20, Tuesday, March 21, and Thursday, March 23, completing legislative days 36 through 38 of the 40-day session. The legislature will reconvene this Monday, March 27, for legislative day 39. Tuesday, March 28, will serve as the last committee workday of the session, and Wednesday, March 29, will be the final day of the 2023 Legislative Session.

Representatives from Visit Savannah traveled to Knoxville, TN, this past weekend to observe and experience the Bassmaster Classic, hoping to land the event for Savannah/Chatham County in 2027. The event would utilize the expanded Savannah Convention Center for the expo and Enmarket Arena for the weigh-in events.

The City of Savannah will mark the substantial completion of the Broughton Streetscape project with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at 2 p.m. on March 29 at the intersection of Broughton Street and Bull Street on the compass rose.
