Chamber Announces 2021 Legislative Agenda at Eggs & Issues Breakfast

The Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Council hosted its annual Eggs & Issues Legislative Breakfast last week where the Chamber presented its 2021 State Legislative Agenda and key pro-business policies and positions. Held at the Savannah Convention Center, with socially distant tables set for four guests, the more than 300 attendees were required to wear masks while networking, the breakfast featured members of the Chatham County legislative delegation who spoke about their goals for the upcoming year.

Two Chamber Networking Events Postposed Until 2021

Your team at the Savannah Area Chamber is committed to helping Savannah and Chatham flatten the coronavirus curve and keep our community safe. In and effort to do so, we have decided to postpone the Business on the Move at Maycrest Hardware scheduled for December 8 and the Chamber Oyster Roast scheduled for December 10 at the Westin. These events will be rescheduled for Spring 2021, so stay tuned for dates and times.

Leadership Savannah Applications Due December 15

Applications for the 2021 Leadership Savannah Class are currently being accepted. This will be a one-year class.

Leadership Savannah seeks to inspire individual leadership growth by providing the learning experiences that lead to a better understanding of our community and preparation for meeting community challenges of the present and future.

Ambassador of the Year Award Honors Lee McCurry

Last week the Savannah Area Chamber Ambassador Council presented their annual Ambassador of the Year Award to the late Lee McCurry. At the event, Lee was posthumously awarded ambassador of the year for his 10+ years of service to the council and Savannah’s small business community.
