Promote your business in our Visitors Centers and watch your revenues increase!

Thousands of visitors are in our Visitors Centers each month, and rack cards are heavily used by visitors and staff. 81 percent of travel decisions are made using printed brochures WHILE they are traveling. The Chamber feels that it is important to give visitors to the area options of places to eat, tours to go on, shops to visit, and other interesting activities while they are here. The Chamber Rack Card program is a free benefit to our hospitality members.

City Gives Progress Report on New Arena Construction at April Business Connection

At last week’s Chamber Business Connection, members got a chance to hear a progress report from the City on the new arena construction. Also present was the ownership team from the new Savannah Hockey team who updated members on what’s on the horizon for Savannah’s newest sport team.

Convention Center Expansion Construction Underway

The construction has begun on the expansion project at the Savannah Convention Center and General Manager, Sherrie Spinks, had this reaction: “Wow!”  The expansion will double the size of the exhibit hall to 200,000 square feet, add a new 45,000 square foot ballroom, additional meeting and board rooms and a new 900-space parking garage.

Get Vaccinated! There are Four Vaccination Locations Throughout the Savannah Region

All Georgians aged 16 and older are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. As members of the business community, we all can do our part to get vaccinated and to encourage our colleagues, staff and network to get vaccinated as well. Large vaccination numbers is one of the best ways to get our region, economy and way of life truly back to normal.

CEMA Alerts are Changing

Chatham Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) is in the process of switching vendors for our CEMA Alert System. Beginning Monday, April 26 emails from CEMA Alert will come from a different email account. If you also receive text messages from CEMA Alert on your phone, you will notice a change in the phone number on April 26 as well. Text messages from this new system can come from a few different numbers, but all messages will be clearly marked as CEMA Alerts.
