Over the weekend, staff members from the Chamber and Visit Savannah volunteered at America’s Second Harvest for their “Brown Bag for the Elderly” program. The team loaded 15 pallets of food boxes, which broke the record for most food boxes packed.

Last week, the Visit Tybee team presented an update on their ongoing efforts and results from the past few weeks. The report included digital content and social media updates, recent media coverage, group sales, and a Tybee Island Visitor Center recap. The next board meeting is set for December.

Visit Savannah is running a digital advertising campaign to drive travelers to Savannah during the fall and winter seasons AND between Sunday and Thursday. This campaign will run through mid-November. The media campaign will include 13 million banner ad impressions in Savannah’s top feeder markets. All hospitality partners are encouraged to submit a compelling special offer for consideration to be included.

Last Wednesday night, the Savannah area business community welcomed the new city manager, Jay Melder, with a reception on the Thompson Savannah’s rooftop. Jay was able to meet and make connections with the leadership from the Savannah area business community.

Last Tuesday, the Chamber hosted their Business on the Move event at New Realm Distilling. Attendees enjoyed a burger bar, artisan fries, milkshake bar, and hand-crafted beer, all while networking with other professionals. New Realm provided a two-story experience for all attendees that showcased their wonderful venue.
