Small Business Saturday will be held this Saturday, November 27. Now in its twelfth year, this holiday shopping event is dedicated to encouraging consumers to shop at small and local independent retailers, local restaurants, and other local businesses. Small Business Saturday was founded by American Express and co-sponsored by the Small Business Administration (ABA) and the Small Business Coalition.

FINAL CALL: Eggs & Issues Legislative Breakfast | Wednesday, December 1

The Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Council will host its annual Eggs & Issues Legislative Breakfast at the Marriott Savannah Riverfront on Wednesday, December 1 at 8:30 a.m. Attendees will be briefed by members of the Chatham County legislative delegation, and the Chamber will present its 2022 State Legislative Agenda.

Savannah Area Year-End Business Luncheon | Thursday, December 9

The Savannah Business Community will honor community champion Robert H. Demere, Jr. for his legacy of philanthropy and leadership with the prestigious Oglethorpe Award. This award is named for General James Edward Oglethorpe, a humanitarian, leader, and visionary who led 120 colonists in founding Savannah and the colony of Georgia in 1733, for their legacy of philanthropy and leadership. In addition to the Oglethorpe Award presentation, business organizations including the Greater Savannah Black Chamber of Commerce, Buy Local Savannah, Downtown Business Association, the Metropolitan Savannah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Savannah Economic Development Authority, Tourism Leadership Council, and Visit Savannah will present business updates and the 2022 business outlook for Savannah and the surrounding counties.

Economic Outlook Luncheon | Thursday, January 20, 2022

The Savannah Area Chamber will host the 2022 Economic Outlook luncheon on Thursday, January 20, at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa. The luncheon will feature presentations on the region's current economic trends and forecast for 2022 by Dr. Mike Toma of Georgia Southern University's Armstrong Campus and Dr. Benjamin Ayers, Dean of the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. Attendees will receive a copy of the Chamber's Economic Trends booklet; there will be no registration at the door of this event.

Savannah-Chatham Day Legislative Oyster Roast Information | Wednesday, February 3, 2022

At this annual event, Savannah’s business professionals will meet and mingle with local and state elected officials. Savannah-Chatham Day in Atlanta includes presentations and meetings with legislators at the State Capitol building beginning at 2 p.m., and a Low Country oyster roast immediately following. This annual opportunity to meet with members of the Georgia General Assembly and other officials is reserved for members, and limited tickets are made available each year.
