Visit Savannah and Visit PR Team Meet with Publishing Partners in Birmingham

Visit Savannah and Visit Tybee’s public relations team traveled to Birmingham, Alabama, last week to call upon consumer publications headquartered there. In a series of three events, the team was able to update partners on what’s new in the Savannah area and continue to foster meaningful relationships that help keep Savannah in the media spotlight.

Visit Savannah’s Director of Sales: Midwest, Kellie Linder attended the Meeting Professionals International’s World Education Congress (WEC) in San Francisco last week. There were over 2,000 meeting professionals in attendance for this four-day educational conference.

Savannah Sports Council Travels to Birmingham

Last week, the Savannah Sports Council traveled to Birmingham, AL for client meetings, including the SEC Conference, where they discussed potential SEC Conference Championships that could be hosted in Savannah. This was the first visit by the Sports Council to the SEC offices. The meeting included positive conversations regarding Championships that could be held at the Enmarket Arena like tennis and golf.

Girl Scouts of Orlando Journey to Savannah

First Impression Specialists at the MLK Visitor Center had fun meeting Girl Scouts of Orlando. The young ladies were very thrilled to be visiting the historic landmark so pivotal to their Organization. Girl Scouts was founded by Juliette Gordon Low on March 12, 1912 in Savannah, Georgia, and every year thousands of girls still travel to Savannah to visit Girl Scout First Headquarters and Juliette Gordon Low’s Birthplace.
