Visit Savannah’s Director of International Sales, Mindy Shea, recently traveled to Australia with 22 other destination representatives from around the Southeast. The group traveled to Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney as part of a Travel South USA sales mission. The trip included in-office meetings with more than 30 key contacts at Australia’s largest tour operators and three large evening networking events that drew nearly 300 travel advisors.

Visit Savannah’s PR team traveled to Madison, Wisconsin, for the Public Relations Society of America Travel & Tourism 2023 conference. This year, the conference included roundtable discussions with other destination marketing’s PR staff, along with sessions and panels by some of travel media’s top editors and strategy leaders.

Earlier this month, Visit Savannah’s Marketing Manager Kim Webster Liebgott and Savannah Sports Council’s Marketing Coordinator Genesis Leggett attended the Southeast Tourism Society’s Marketing College in Macon, Georgia. Since its inception in 1992, Southeast Tourism Society Marketing College has hosted tourism professionals for one week each year to provide a unique continuing education program for the travel and tourism industry.
