The Chamber's Conni Reynolds traveled to Washington, D.C., to serve as a Community Advisor for Gulfstream Student Leadership Program. This program exposes high school students to high-demand career opportunities in their community and opportunities to connect with area leaders. Educational trips to destinations like Washington D.C. are designed to help develop student leadership and work-ready power skills through interactive sessions and experiences. The program assists all participants in developing a personal plan for success after graduating high school.

Leadership Savannah was hosted by Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) where the 2023 Class heard from leaders in the arts and historic preservation community at the SCAD Museum. The class visited the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum where Georgia Civil Rights champion Mercedes Wright Arnold, fondly known as the “Sweetheart of the Movement,” spoke to the class about her personal recollections of the civil rights movement in Savannah.
