The Visit Savannah team attended the Georgia Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Jekyll Island last week, where they met with other tourism professionals from all over the state to exchange ideas and learn about best practices. The conference started with Explore Georgia’s presentation about the importance of tourism to the state’s economy.

Visit Savannah Teams with Brand-USA Korea for Roadshow

In partnership with the Savannah Economic Development Authority, Visit Savannah teamed up with Brand USA for a South Korea roadshow. Savannah was presented in the cities of Seoul, Daejon, and Busan. The collective effort drew over 180 attendees to learn about Savannah and the forthcoming Hyundai Electric Vehicle (EV) plant development in Bryan County.

Visit Savannah Hosts Hyundai Travel Managers

Visit Savannah’s Director of International Sales, Mindy Shea, recently hosted five travel managers and a Delta Airlines’ Korean representative from Hyundai’s headquarters in Seoul, South Korea. The group will be instrumental in making travel arrangements for the employees coming to Savannah to support the new Hyundai EV Plant in Bryan County.
