Leadership Savannah is holding two programs this month, beginning with Economic Development Day. The class was welcomed to the Savannah Economic Development Authority by Sr. VP of Marketing & PR Angela Hendrix, who introduced SEDA President & CEO Trip Tollison.Tollison explained how he and a diverse group of government leaders recruited the Hyundai Metaplant project to Bryan County. The class then traveled to Bryan County to see the massive construction site. Eric Johnson with the Joint Development Authority joined the class to give our windshield tour.

Jennifer Thompson, Visit Savannah’s Director of Southeast Sales, attended the Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE) 45th Annual Abit Massey Lecture Series on September 20 in Atlanta. Named after Abit Massey, a distinguished leader in association management in Georgia, Visit Savannah had the honor of serving as a host of the afternoon.

Leadership Savannah recently visited the Chatham County Courthouse to learn about the criminal justice system. The class was hosted by Judge Elizabeth Coolidge of State Court and heard from Judge Elizabeth Gobeil of the Georgia Court of Appeals, Judge Tim Walmsley of Superior Court, Clerk of Superior Court Tammie Mosely, Circuit Public Defender Todd Martin, Sheriff John Wilcher and his Chief Deputy, Gary Taylor.
