The Georgia General Assembly completed legislative days 13 through 16 of the 40-day session. They convened on Monday, February 6 and worked through Thursday, February 9. The General Assembly returns to session on Monday, February 13, for legislative day 17 and will work through legislative day 20.

The hit PBS television travel show, Places to Love with Samantha Brown, will premier its Savannah Episode on Sunday, February 19, on Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB). The show was filmed in Savannah in April 2022, and along with the Visit Savannah Team, Samantha and her crew identified locations and people throughout the city to feature in their sixth season of the show!

Last week, Visit Savannah’s Director of Midwest Sales, Kellie Linder hosted the Board of Directors for International SPA Association (ISPA). ISPA is looking at Savannah for its 2025 annual convention. This convention would bring over 1,500 attendees to the Savannah area and generate more than 4,300 total room nights.

Visit Savannah’s Visitor Center Staff took the Downtown Savannah's fare-free transportation (DOT) to familiarize themselves with the ride service and stops on the route. Staff picked up the East/West Shuttle right across from the MLK Visitor Center near West Perry Lane and then the North/South shuttle from Liberty and Drayton.
