Last week at the Capitol, the Georgia General Assembly met for legislative days 28-31 out of 40. Crossover day, which was on Monday March 8, was the 28th day of the 40-day legislative session and was the last day that a bill can be passed in one chamber and sent to the next chamber. The Georgia General Assembly will be reconvened on March 15 for the 32nd legislative day.
HB 469, Rep. Ron Stephen’s bill that extends the historic tax credits for the rehabilitation of historic structures, passed the House and is now in the Senate for consideration. HB 112, would extend the COVID-19 liability protections for Georgia businesses until July 2022. It passed the House, and last week it passed out of the Senate Judiciary Committee and can now be considered by the full Senate.
